The Orion Senior Center and Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services are combining efforts this holiday season to collect fleece throw blankets for distribution to area senior residents.
In an effort to conserve energy, many local seniors turn down thermostats in their residences to reduce monthly heating costs. The fleece blankets collected will be used to keep them warm while they are sitting or resting in their homes.
Please drop off your donation to the Orion Senior Center, located at 21 E. Church Street, before Dec. 20. All donated blankets will be distributed on Dec. 21. For more information please call (248)693-6567.
