The Desert Angels need donations for Miracle Boxes to send to our troops. They are collecting items such as: knitted/crocheted wool helmet liners, neck warmers, hand warmers, scarves, long underwear, socks, blankets, flannel sheets, pillow case/pillows, hot chocolate mix, coffee, flavored dry creamer, tea, soup, instant oatmeal, pocket foods, travel size toiletries and toys for the children. Some upcoming events include: ‘Keep our Troops Warm – Packing Parties? Nov. 3, Old Town Hall, Ortonville. Also, from 1-6 p.m., Nov.11, Oxford Meijer Store. Postage is also needed to mail items.
