The Orion Township Board is considering restarting their pursuit of the Grampian Drainage project, after an easement has potentially become available.
‘This area, with its drainage and property concerns, has been before the board for the last decade,? Township Clerk Jill Bastian said.
The board postponed discussion of the project to their first meeting in December, following an Axford Drainage District meeting in November.
They also directed their engineers to prepare an updated cost estimate for consideration.
‘This project and the Miller Road project (dealing with the Axford Drain issue) were both identified as needs in the past,? Township Supervisor Jerry Dywasuk said. ‘The reason we jumped on this one was because someone was willing to give up an easement.?
