Congratulations to Oxford resident Krysten Aquilina, a junior at Northwood University in Midland, who was granted two scholarships for the 2006-07 academic year.
The 20-year-old received the AON Risk Services Scholarship, which was established in 1995 to provide educational support to students majoring in a business-related curriculum.
She also received the Northwood University Aftermarket Industry Scholarship. It is given to the son or daughter of an employee or owner of an aftermarket business, which is a business that sells a variety of automotive parts.

‘Receiving these scholarships makes me feel that people have great confidence in what I am able to do with my life and career,? she said.
‘I feel very privileged that I was chosen to receive these scholarships because these donors have given me a great gift ? allowing me to better pursue a higher education.?
The 2004 Notre Dame Prepatory graduate is working towards a bachelor’s degree in business administration in a dual major of marketing and management. Last May, she completed her Associate of Arts degree in entertainment, sport and promotions management.
