Witnesses say Rambo threatened to shoot girlfriend with arrow

A 19-year-old Addison woman is safe after almost being shot by a bow and arrow the day before Valentine’s Day ? only it wasn’t Cupid’s arrow.
The woman’s 20-year-old boyfriend, Craig Peter Rambo, also of Addison, was arraigned Feb. 14 in the 52-3 District Court in Rochester on charges of felonious assault, domestic violence and malicious destruction of property after he allegedly pointed a bow and arrow at her face during an argument.
Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the couple’s home on Windingbrook, located inside Hidden Lakes Estates mobile home park, by Rambo’s two sisters after they saw him allegedly choking his girlfriend.
According to the sheriff’s report, Rambo came to the home and instigated a fight. He was under the impression his girlfriend was going to take their 5-month-old child away from him and he allegedly threatened to kill her, her mother and her sister.
Rambo then allegedly went into another room and broke her computer before he ‘grabbed her by the throat and threw her against a wall,? according to the report.
During the incident, Rambo allegedly punched the side of her head five times, then her stomach and side.
The report states that both of Rambo’s sisters tried to break up the fight, but were unsuccessful.
Rambo then allegedly came back into the room with a Hoyt Easton camouflage bow and an arrow in position, pointed it ‘inches? from her face and told her ‘you deserve this.?
The woman told deputies that Rambo put the bow and arrow away in her bedroom when he heard the police arrive.
According to the sheriff’s report, the woman said Rambo ‘turned to her and blew her a kiss? as he was walking away in handcuffs.
The girlfriend told deputies that this wasn’t the first time Rambo had threatened to kill her and her family if she took their child away.
Besides the bow Rambo allegedly pointed at his girlfriend, sheriff’s deputies removed another Bear bow, four arrows and a switch blade knife from the home.
Rambo is currently being lodged in county jail in lieu of paying 10 percent of a $75,000 bond. If released, he must wear a global positioning system tether and cannot have contact with the victim.
