Sleepy Hollow legend lives on at OHS

Heads will roll this weekend at Oxford High School’s fall performance of ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,? on stage Friday, Oct. 27, Saturday, Oct. 28 and Monday, Oct. 30.
Written by Washington Irving, ‘Sleepy Hollow? is a classic tale of conflict between city and country, and between brains and brawn.
Ichabod Crane courts the lovely Katrina Van Tassel, but is frightened away by his rival, Bram Bones, masquerading as the Headless Horseman.
With Halloween just around the corner, ‘Sleepy Hollow? is sure to put you in a spooky mood and send shivers down your spine with its three performances.
‘Sleepy Hollow? is being directed by Debra Brown, as well as student directors Lydia McRae and Rachel Napoleon.
Cast members are: Justin Weir (Ichabod Crane), Kate McQuater (Katrina Van Tassel), Nick Risinger/Dan Hayward (Bram Bones), Matt Balch (Mr. Van Tassel), Samantha Adams (Dame Van Tassel), Ben Holland (Mr. Van Ripper), Nicole Hudson (Dame Van Ripper), Adrianne Schmidt (Margaret), Hannah Summers (Grandma), Jake Havener (Peter Vedder), Chandler Macocha, Evan Profant (Nicolas), Stephani Schmidt (Gretchen), Jordan Scholz (Grace), Becca Basel (Ruby), Chelsea Landry (Beatrice), Jaryd Plummer (Pastor) and Becky Paquette (Fiddler).
Other cast members include:
? Townspeople ? Kaitlin Tincknel, Samantha Matsumoto, Julie Kish, Liz Thomas, Jessica Rose, Jennifer Bizzotto, Katie Paul, Nissa Griffin, Lauren McMullen, Marsha McMunn and Tricia Kachin.
‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow? will be performed three times between Oct. 27-30 at the Performing Arts Center. All performances start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.
