Oxford runners braved the cold last Friday to compete at their invitational at Oxford Hills Golf & Country Club against 16 other teams.
The boys team placed 11th at the event, and runner Ben Cole was the only medal winner at 35th place (18:01).
Adam Heskitt placed 47th (18:16) and Kevin Jickling placed 64th (18:44).
The girls team placed 13th at the meet, and the top runners were Taylor Dewey, who placed 54th (21.55), Kate Wolanin placed 57th (22:02), Ashley Hanson placed 72nd (22:34), Liz Hazelwood placed 75th (22:41) and Jacque Magdaleno placed 76th (22:47).
Coach Ray Sutherland said his teams? times were ‘real good even though it was a tough course.? The teams also faced winds of up to 20 mph while running.
The teams will travel to Ice Mountain at 4:30 p.m. tonight for their Flint Metro League Tournament.
