Cardiologist David A. Brill M.D., F.A.A.C., knows North Oakland County better than most. His family is from Clarkston and he spent three years at his own office in downtown Oxford.
Now Dr. Brill has brought his cardiovascular knowledge to Lake Orion. Last summer, he opened a practice at the new Beaumont facility at 1455 S. Lapeer Road.
Dr. Brill is particularly excited to team with the well-respected Beaumont name.
“We’ve had a real increase, partially because of the Beaumont name and partially because of our great new location,” Dr. Brill says.
Board certified in Cardiology, Dr. Brill and the Cardiology Institute of Michigan, PLLC is located in suite 200 of the new state-of-the-art facility.
After completing his bachelor’s degree at Princeton, Dr. Brill went on to Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed a residency at the Yale New Haven Hospital.
He completed his cardiology fellowships at Yale University and Johns Hopkins University and was a researcher in Molecular Cardiology at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, a division of the National Institutes of Health.
“I’ve been practicing cardiology for 16 years,” Dr. Brill says, noting that with his education and extensive field experience he has certainly seen just about everything there is to see in the field.
By teaming with Beaumont, Dr. Brill will be able to offer great things to the area that have never been offered here before.
“This is the first full service facility in the area,” Dr. Brill says. “Nobody has offered full service cardiology imaging.”
Among the things Dr. Brill offers are cardiac echo, nuclear stress tests, arrythmia monitoring and pacemaker evaluations.
“Because of the Beaumont affiliation, we are now able to make the highest quality of cardiac care available to Lake Orion residents as well as the surrounding areas,” Dr. Brill says.
“We expect the practice to grow to support two or three cardiologists as the area continues to grow,” he adds.
Dr. Brill believes that Beaumont is the premier hospital in Oakland County.
The fact that there is now a Beaumont facility right in Lake Orion can only be a good thing for area residents.
“This is definitely a step in the right direction for the county,” he says.
