For the first time in their school history, students at Clear Lake Elementary now have an official school song.
Music teacher Peggy Mueller started the idea of a school song with her fourth and fifth graders at the beginning of the year. The school sang it together for the first time Feb. 10.
Students Megen Ashley and Cory Jones both said writing it was fun and that they started by picking out words that rhymed well together.
‘We brainstormed words that had to do with the school and then made the sentences,? Ashley said.
The song has verses about different school subjects and working together by following rules.
