Goodrich – Pizza and ice cream-lovers are seeing new faces at Big Jake’s Pizza & Shakes, 10230 Hegel Road in downtown Goodrich.
Steve and Bryce McGinnis, a first-time father-and-son business team, took over the business Aug. 2.
Steve, who has worked as a short-order cook, is changing the take-out restaurant’s pizza recipe. He’s replacing the former cheese with a rich blend of mozzarella and provolone cheeses, and tweaking the sauce, says Steve.
Otherwise, Big Jake’s will remain much the same, selling similar menu items, including premium hand-dipped and soft serve ice cream.
