A few years ago, Lake Orion Village Council members looked at the possibility of hiring a new engineering firm. They decided to continue working with their long-time engineering firm, Hubbell, Roth & Clark.
Now the council has agreed to LO Village JoAnn Van Tassel’s request to draft another Request for Proposals for consulting engineering services.
Van Tassel told the council on July 25 the quality of services the village has been receiving from HRC has slipped considerably.
She said the Atwater paving project should have started several weeks before it did on July 20. Van Tassel also indicated several other projects, Atwater/Orion Road/Flint Street sidewalk and M-24 lighting and cemetery fence have been very late in going out for bids because HRC isn’t providing necessary information.
