Anna and Sarah Skelley spent part of their summer vacation helping to deliver Meals on Wheels to Oxford senior citizens. The girls made their deliveries special by including homemade notes with each of the meals. They even noticed that one of the seniors was a fan of Mickey Mouse, so they personalized her note with Disney stickers!
Every weekday, meals are prepared around 11 a.m. at Crossroads for Youth, where they are then given to volunteer drivers to distribute to homebound seniors. Some area businesses, such as Oxford Bank, have regularly scheduled days when employees take turns delivering meals.
