Farmer John’s Barnyard Express made a stop at the Community Educational Resource Center (CERC) in Lake Orion on May 11. Farmer John introduced kids from the CERC’s Early Childhood program to some of his barnyard friends: A dog named Pal, a pig, a goat and a sheep.
The kids learned how animals live in the barnyard, and how you get wool from sheep and milk from the goat. A couple of students even got the chance to bottle feed a baby pig.
The program was sponsored by the Head Start parents, who paid for it with fund raising money.
