Varsity baseball beats three rivals

Lake Orion’s varsity baseball team defeated Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, Troy twice, and Berkley in a doubleheader, to make their record 23-7 in OAA I.
Against St. Mary’s on May 17, the Dragons won, 11-4, with Steve Garver going 4-for-4 with four runs and one RBI for the team. Neil Medchill was 2-for-4 with a homerun, three runs and three RBI.
In their first game of the week against Troy on May 18, Lake Orion was victorious, 9-2. Medchill was 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Joe Barnes went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs.
The Dragons faced Troy again on May 20, again winning, this time 10-0.
Garver was 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs, while Medchill went 2-for-4 with a homerun and four RBI. Josh Hughes hit a three-run homerun.
Jon Krause was Lake Orion’s winning pitcher.
Finally on May 21, Lake Orion claimed two games against Berkley, 16-1 and 9-1.
Ben Wright was 3-for-3 for the team with three RBI and two runs. Greg Hall went 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In the second game, Medchill and Garver each had homeruns, while Joe Barnes went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
