Brandon’s boys tennis team continued their winning ways with a 6-2 victory against Fenton in a May 6 Flint Metro League matchup.
The Blackhawks are now 10-1 overall and 3-1 in the league.
In singles action, the Blackhawks took three of four matches. C.J. Coudret defeated Jake Crawford at #1 singles 6-3, 6-3; David Hughes defeated Kyle Bradley at #2 singles 6-3, 6-2; and Josh Coudret defeated Ryan Fessler 6-2, 6-2.
Brandon’s lone singles loss came at #3 singles, where Nick Schlienke defeated Kyle Rascher 6-3, 6-0.
In doubles action, the Blackhawks also took three out of four matches. Brandon’s lone loss came at #1 doubles, where Fenton’s Steve Fry and Evan Jorgensen defeated Brandon’s Chris Nuccio and Garrett Warrilow 6-7, 6-0, 6-4.
Steve Sanday and Ryan McCabe defeated Mike Lewis and Everett Dilecki at #2 doubles 6-2, 6-0; Troy Nuccio and Andy Collier defeated John Shepard and Eric Averill at #3 doubles 6-2, 4-6, 7-5; and Scott Thurman and Tyler Walls defeated Brad Nunn and Scott Elston at #4 doubles 6-3, 6-2.
