Goodrich’s softball team continues to dominate its opponents.
The Martians swept visiting Bendle in an April 28 doubleheader, winning the opener 15-0 and the nightcap 26-0, improving to 13-0 overall and 5-0 in Genesee Area Conference Red Division play.
Jessica Morgan was the winning pitcher for the Martians in the first game, which lasted three innings. She went all three innings, giving up only two hits while striking out six.
Morgan was also one of four Martians to notch three hits in the game, with Tara Garman, Alisha Bergeron, and Alyssa Bertrand also achieving that feat.
In the nightcap, which also lasted three innings, Ellen Nothhelfer picked up the win for Goodrich, no-hitting the Tigers while striking out three.
Garman and Kelsey Krych led the Martians with four hits each, while Bertrand and Kortni Elsworth notched three hits apiece.
