A 50-year-old Ann Arbor woman was found hanging by her neck in a room at the Colombiere Center in Springfield Township on April 17, according to Oakland County Sheriff reports.
The woman was part of a group renting rooms at the retreat center, according to Sgt. Mark Gardner, commander of the Springfield Township sheriff substation. A roommate, who had been sleeping elsewhere on the floor, discovered the woman shortly before 8 a.m., Gardner said.
A nurse, who was also staying at the retreat center, determined that the woman was dead, reports said. A deputy from the sheriff’s Forensic Science Division responded, and the county medical examiner’s office was notified.
