According to new owner Michael Ceritano, he doesn’t have the cheapest prices in town, but his customers will absolutely have a clean car when they leave his facility ata 720 South Lapeer Road in Lake Orion.
Ceritano, an Oakland Township resident, has completely remodeled the car wash that he bought last year and opened under his ownership at the end of September.
‘It was a good business opportunity. It had been a neglected business and I like the challenge of turning one around,? he says.
He has restored all the wash equipment, gutted and remodeled the store, redone all of the bathroom facilities, painted and refurbished the entire building, installed state-of-the-art gas pumps, water softening equipment and blowers. A new full service detailing department was also added for that new car look and feel.
‘The vehicles exit the wash line drier and without hard water stains. The soft cloth remains soft and gentle to cars with the new water softening equipment,? Ceritano says.
Customers can pay for their gas and car wash right at the pumps.
Those customers who need to make a trip into the store will have a good selection of automotive accessories that they can buy. The store is also stocked with, snacks, hot coffee, including multiple flavors.
‘We have a whole new line of chemicals that produces a cleaner car,? Ceritano says.
Alexander’s also has something that no one else in Oakland County has — two tunnels. One is dedicated to express service while the other is for full service.
‘This combination allows us to compete at both ends of the market,? Ceritano says.
All washes include a hand towel dry. The three full service washes all include vacuum of mats, carpet and upholstery, window cleaning, dash cleaned and door jams wiped.
Additional services include mat shampoos, armor all tire shine, hatch vacuum and a complete list of express detail services.
‘I feel as though this combination of services along with two tunnels is our competitive advantage,? Ceritano adds.
When spring arrives, car lovers will want to use Alexander’s detailing center to being their vehicle back to life after a harsh winter on Michigan roads. The detailing center offers express as well as full service detailing.
A sample of detail services includes exterior waxes, leather, vinyl and upholstery cleaning, paint restorations, etc. Detail services start at $29.95 and many can be completed while you wait.
Ceritano is on hand every day to oversee the operation of Alexander’s and even works with his employees when it gets real busy.
Customers can buy Mobil gas at Alexander’s. Ceritano says his gas prices are always competitive.
