Ortonville-Chris Steer hopes to get a jump on a new area business.
With the auto industry on the skids, Steer, a Louca Mold and Aircraft gundrill foreman for the past 15 years was ready to look for some additional income.
‘I was discussing with a neighbor some ideas of what else we could do for some extra money,? said Steer.
‘The moonwalks were available to order on-line and it’s a business that I could do on the weekend.?
So in May, Steer formed C & J Moonwalk Rentals offering day rentals of the inflatable attractions. Moonwalks are air-inflated amusement rides that can be delivered to any site and set up in just a few minutes. The vinyl-covered inflatable can be set up on lawns or driveways.
An electric motor powers a compressor that inflates the Moonwalk.
‘Every age can jump in and have fun,? adds Steer. ‘It’s something fun to do for any occasion.?
Whether open houses, birthdays, or family reunions Moonwalks have grown in popularity during the past few years.
