Goodrich – Goodrich Village Council members recently voted to keep late tax collection in-house.
Village tax bills, normally sent out July 1, are due by Sept. 30.
Instead of Genesee County collecting delinquent taxes after the deadline’and keeping the accompanying late fees’the Goodrich Village Council opted to allow residents to pay taxes at the village office, and keep the collected fees.
The village can only collect late fees until the following February, said village administrator Jakki Sidge.
