After a stellar start to the season, the Goodrich girls soccer team is dealing with its first taste of adversity.
The Martians lost two games in as many days May 5-6. On May 5, Goodrich lost 4-1 to host Walled Lake Northern, with Amber Beard scoring the Martians? lone goal.
The following day, the Martians hosted Saginaw Nouvel and came out on the short end of a 4-2 contest against the Panthers.
Meredith Mayberry and Ali Smith tallied goals for the Martians in a losing cause.
Goodrich also had a game scheduled May 10 against visiting Montrose, which was postponed due to weather. No makeup date has been announced as of press time.
