Brandon girls soccer battles to three straight ties

Brandon’s girls soccer team experienced mixed feelings at the end of their three most recent games — because all three were ties.
The most recent example came May 3 when the host Blackhawks earned a 3-3 tie against Holly, leaving Brandon with a record of 1-5-3.
Amanda Loeffler, Jessica Jennings and Cassie Shepherd scored the Brandon goals in the contest.
The Blackhawks also forged a 1-1 tie with visiting Clawson in an April 30 game.
Shepherd scored Brandon’s lone goal of the contest, while Lauren Dixon picked up the assist. Elizabeth Kennedy stopped 19 shots in goal for Brandon.
One day earlier, the Blackhawks battled Flint Metro League rival Oxford to a 2-2 tie. Meg Donnay and Loeffler scored goals for the Blackhawks.
