Goodbye, for now, to Waldon teacher

Students at Waldon Middle School recently bid a temporary farewell to sixth grade science teacher Dan Hunter, a Pontiac resident, as he prepared to join his unit in the Army Reserves for deployment to Georgia. Hunter, who has taught at Waldon for one year, has been in the military for 20 years and will be helping to train infantry soldiers at Fort Benning for the next year. He said when his time is up there, he will resume his teaching position at Waldon. Students and staff wished him well with a goodbye picnic at the school on April 30.
