George J. Bolvari II

George J. Bolvari II was born in Chicago, Illinois on Nov. 30, 1946 to parents George Bolvari Sr. and Dorothy Bolvari (nee Staich). He passed away with his family at his side, on Nov. 23, 2024 after a lengthy illness.
George grew up in Oak Park, Michigan and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Service to his country included one year in Vietnam at Cam Ranh Bay. Shortly after his service in the Air Force, George met his wife, Cosette and they raised two children in Royal Oak, Michigan.
George worked for the Detroit Edison Company for 35 years where he was a Substation Operator, System Supervisor and a very proud member of UWUA Local 223. He loved golfing with his friends and fishing. Most of all he loved being a grandfather and spending time with his family.
George is survived by his devoted children George Bolvari III (Amy), and Valerie Skoda (Matthew), ex-wife Cosette Rowland, cherished grandchildren Brian Bolvari, Allyson Bolvari, Nicole Bolvari, Alec Skoda; sister Barbra Bida (Peter) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024 from 4-7:30 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion.
