Extracurricular activities: Theater! I love to perform on stage and collaboratively work backstage. I also Baton twirl as an LOHS feature twirler and enjoy acting in local short films.
Hobbies/Interests: Spending time with friends and family, traveling, drawing and music.
Plans after graduation: I intend to expand my knowledge in sustainable sciences and pursue a career in theatrical arts on stage and film. I’m currently considering several in and out-of-state schools with matching programs.
Maggie is proudest of: I am most proud of being elected president of the Lake Orion Thespian Troupe by my peers, representing a group that I have been inspired by since middle school is so special to me. Being in theater has led me to be a part of shows such as Little Women, Shrek, Clue, High School Musical, and many more. It is thanks to theatrical arts that I am the person I am today.
Maggie makes a contribution by: Sharing my passion for the things I enjoy with those who can benefit from my lessons learned. As I mature and gain responsibility, every day I’m proud to be recognized for contributing to other’s growth as people.
Where Maggie sees herself in 10-20 years: I’d just like to be happy. I see myself living in a city, accompanied by people who I love dearly, using the arts to make people feel things while also improving the quality and usage of sustainable products/practices.
What concerns Maggie in the world: I get concerned by the negligence that people have towards valuable topics like environmental/political issues that require action, or everyday things that should be celebrated more. I believe that the world will be a better place when people cherish things more.
Favorite thing about Lake Orion High School: How quality goes hand in hand with quantity when it comes to the programs/classes offered.
