After two years of debating back and forth, it seems residents of Addison Twp. still want to re-join the Polly Ann Trailway Management Council (PATMC).
Bob Godkin recently spearheaded a petition to get the township ‘to join the Polly Ann Trail Council with the purpose of fulfilling their responsibility.?
Seventy-five residents signed the petition, and Godkin presented it to township Supervisor Bob Koski at the monthly board meeting Monday night.
Godkin told township officialshe didn’t understand why they would pay the council $3,000 back in August for maintenance, but not be able to ‘have a voice in how it’s spent.?
He also questioned the board’s December 2006 non-negotiable proposal to the council, saying which Godkin called ‘pretty hard-nosed.?
‘It sounds like ‘if you don’t play by my rules, I’m gonna take my ball and go home,?? he said.
Koski told this reporter that he’s always been ‘pro-Polly Ann,? but that it takes more than one vote to change the board’s mind. He plans to put the issue on next month’s meeting agenda.
