5th annual Women’s Expo draws in 1,500

The 5th Annual Oxford Women’s Expo last Thursday at Boulder Pointe Golf & Country Club in Oxford was another success the Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce can mark in their books.
Nearly 90 vendors packed the banquet room and about 1,500 people attended, according to Amy Alder, executive director of the chamber.
Winners of the Women of Excellence awards were Volunteer of the Year, Sandi Gillett, a 30-year employee of Oxford Bank; Educator of the Year, Suzy Rhadigan, from Kingsbury Country Day School; and Business Woman of the Year, Victoria Connolly, from Victoria’s Delights.
Oxford resident Cheryl Phillips won the Grand Prize of a $1,000 Visa gift card to be used for anything she wishes.
Other prize winners included Lake Orion resident, Doras Hucul, who won a gift package from Schenden’s Spa on the Lake; Lake Orion resident Erin Wolff, who won a dinner from Victoria’s Delights; Addison Twp. resident, Dora Rolando, won dinner and a sleigh ride from the Historic White Horse Inn; Tracy Hruska won teeth whitening from the Healthy Smile Center; and Lake Orion resident, Karla Voydanoff, won a $100 Visa gift card from Oxford Bank.
