Two current Lake Orion Village Council members Tom Albert and Harry Stephen did not take out nominating petitions for four vacant seats in this year’s general election. Their terms are up this year.
On the ballot for the Sept. 13 election will be incumbents Bill Siver of East Shadbolt Street and John Ranville of East Shadbolt Street.
Other candidates include Julie Drabik of Bellevue, Dan Kowalski of Park Island and Michael Toth of East Flint.
Village elections used to be in March, but a new state law requires government bodies to hold elections in September (odd number years) or November (even number years.
