Each year, the Orion Fire Fighters Association (OFFA) holds their annual Fireman’s Ball at the Paint Creek Country Club in Orion Township. This year the event will be held on March 2.

This fundraising event is one of the oldest annual events hosted in Orion Township, dating back more than 50 years.

This event brings together first responders, local business owners and entrepreneurs, politicians and community activists in order to raise money for the OFFA.

OFFA is involved in many initiatives throughout the Orion area and neighboring communities including:

• Feeding needy families

• Providing holiday gifts for underprivileged children

• Providing scholarships for those seeking a career in emergency services

• Providing funds to those who have been victims of home fires
