Renee Leggieri has been hired as a new public works clerk for Orion Township.
The township board voted June 20 to create the second Clerk I position, which Leggieri now fills, and to eliminate the temporary, part-time clerk position.
Leggieri will have a starting pay of $11.18 per hour (40 hours a week, $23,258 annually), plus benefits.
The board will also advertise the office coordinator position for the public works department.
