Natural disasters, humanitarianism and god’s love

By: Linda La Croix

Wow, so many natural disasters have happened in the past year. I am not going to list them all, but the amount of fires in the West and the hurricanes in the South have been huge.

Living in the Midwest is an advantage to us, because those locations are far away our lives. All of us can breathe a big sigh of relief and be grateful it is not in our lives. While I am grateful with you, I remind you, in a spiritual walk we are all one. Meaning, we are all from one source, the “One” so we know, what happens to one happens to all of us.

Not just because we see or hear about it, but because we feel it. You need only think back to how you felt last week, in the days prior to Hurricane Florence hitting the South. You may have experienced more unexplained nervousness, anxiety or worry. You may have felt a little on edge, tired or just a little off from your normal good feeling and couldn’t explain what triggered it. If you noticed those feelings, chances are you were feeling the energetic changes, in the atmosphere, before the storm hit land. Yes, it was far away from us and, we were not directly involved, I know. We were indirectly involved.

Watching the interview from FEMA personnel, I was grateful to hear, they had stations setup for drinking water in advance and emergency shelters. People internally respond to life events better when they know they are not in the experience alone. I was happy just to see the advanced prepping. For me the bright cloud in any natural disaster is to know there are people who know what to do, they are watching and prepared to support another’s life. It feels very humanitarian, and also very much like how in the book of John God tells us to love one another.

John 13:34(NIV) reads- “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Now, in this quote, God is not saying to physically express love for everyone. God is saying to energetically, go within and express the energetic vibration of love for another. Find that love vibration within you and express if for all of life, for every living thing is God’s creation. In essence, be a humanitarian. Care for, and about, the greater whole, because you are connected to that greater whole by oneness. This vibration of oneness and love lives within all people. It is very easily seen in all First Responders, Veteran’s, Volunteer’s, Clergy and Teacher’s as they work effortlessly to help others have better lives.

As recovery efforts begin, we are sure to see, a massive amount of trucks from many different utility companies, people rescuing stranded pets and others who will leave their homes in unaffected states to go there and support cleanup efforts. I love it! That is God’s love in action and I bless each and every one for doing their part to love and support others and to take care of Mother Earth. Keep, your vibration of, oneness active in you when you hear of natural disasters. Hold all in prayer, and do what you can, from the Midwest to assist recovery efforts.

I encourage you to support the needs, of others, by expressing the goodness of God in your life to one another, every chance you get. Know from deep down, in your heart and soul, there is no place, where God’s love, does not exist. It is eternal, so it is always there – time does not take it away. You yourself can never have so much happen in your life that love is missing from you. And, you cannot ever give too much love away that it no longer exists within you. The vibration of God’s love for us is unconditional. I encourage you to believe this with all your heart and share it where you can with others. Be a humanitarian, and remember, we live in oneness, so love all of God’s creation, the entire Earth, the Universe and all that lives.

Namaste,

Linda
