Myers, Charles A. Jr.; 72, of Lake Orion

Charles A. Myers Jr. “Chuck”; of Lake Orion; age 72; passed peacefully at home July 8, 2017. Chuck was a beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather. Chuck was born on January 31, 1945 to Charles and Caroline Myers in Detroit, MI. His parents preceded him in death. Chuck married Fern Deyo Fosgate on July 23, 2008 after a 20 year whirlwind romance. He is survived by his wife Fern; his children Dan (Debi Young) Myers, Brian (Jen) Myers, Kirsten Fosgate (Brian) Boothe, Liza Fosgate (Steve) Bivens, Melissa Fosgate (Harris) Ng; his sister Carol Louden (Ruben) Reyes; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 nieces; and a nephew.

Chuck worked as a machinist for many years, though his real passion was his work at the Fine Arts Sculpture Centre in Clarkston where he assisted in making bronze sculptures. His love for the Rocky Mountains and wherever the wind took him led to many adventures with his family. His hobbies were being with his family and his art. He was a man who knew a great deal about many topics and loved to share that information. Always a practical joker with good humor, Chuck loved being with his family most of all.

The family will receive friends on Thursday July 13, 2017 from 2 to 8 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lake Orion United Methodist Church. Memorial donations in memory of Chuck may be made to the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. www.sparksgriffin.com
