ORION TWP. — The Lake Orion varsity competitive cheer squad hosted the second OAA Red Jamboree of the competitive season last Thursday where the Dragons finished fourth out of the five teams.
Competing in the jamboree were Lake Orion, Rochester Adams, Rochester, Stoney Creek and Troy Athens.
Both Rochester schools came out of the gate strong, maintaining large leads throughout all three rounds.

In round two, the Dragons scored 224.34, about seven points behind Rochester, Adams and Stoney Creek who all had less than a point differentiating the three teams.
In the last round, a fall during one of Stoney Creek’s pyramids helped Lake Orion make up a few points with the Dragons scoring 315.3, several points ahead of both the Cougars and Troy Athens but still about four points behind both Rochester and Rochester Adams.
After the competition, Lake Orion honored their senior athletes and their parents. Senior cheer members include: Allie Ayers, Anastasia Griffith, Carly Bodo, Ella Hoffman, Emma Laviolette, Livia Mesnik, Mya Thebo and Sydney Selva.
