Kids got a glimpse of science up close and personal during Science Day at Lake Orion High School in May. The high school’s AP Biology students organized the event for school district fourth graders.
The event took place in the lobby of the auditorium. Groups of fourth graders spent 45 minutes at 22 different ‘stations.? They got to try some science experiments and games.
Stations had names like Fun in a Bag, Butterflies Come Alive, Grow and Go Memory Game, Foot Steps, Animal Adaptation Bingo and Trash Bash.
Different stations passed out ‘goodies? that students could put in plastic bags and take home.
The fourth graders also saw a play about science in the auditorium.
