Felon arrested for selling firearms

Atlas Twp. – Friendship proved dangerous for a former Goodrich man fencing firearms.
Ryan Koechig of Flint was arrested this week for selling guns reported stolen April 29 from an Atlas Township home by three Goodrich residents.
‘He was friends with the people who did the (breaking and entering),? said Detective Sgt. Mik Tocarchick of the Genesee County Sheriff Atlas Township Precinct.
Koechig, 19, lived in Flint while serving parole after imprisonment for possession of narcotics.
‘He was doing well until this,? Tocarchick said.
The former Goodrich resident is charged with possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a maximum 10-year sentence; felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a maximum five-year sentence; and a felony firearm charge, carrying an automatic two-year sentence.
