Last Thursday evening, over 250 women took to the downtown streets of Lake Orion for the annual Babes On Broadway event.

Adorned with pink bags to hold their treasures, the ladies had an exciting evening visiting the 27 local businesses participating in the event.

Fifteen ‘Broadway Gents’ worked the check-in tables, opened doors and escorted the ladies across the streets.

For a $25 donation, each babe received a pink bag, 5 drink vouchers and numerous trinkets and some tom-foolery from the businesses.

A portion of each ticket purchased was donated to Humble Design, a non-profit charitable organization that helps families transition out of homeless and abuse shelters and into low income housing.

Humble Design was presented with a giant donation check in the amount of $3,200 at the end of the event at Lockhart’s BBQ.
