The Awesome and Unique Special Needs Foundation will host its annual Easter egg hunt from noon – 2 p.m. March 16 at the CERC building, 455 E. Scripps Rd.
The event features an egg hunt, balloon animals, face painting, crafts, games, a magician and food and drinks. Organizers also ask that guests wear “crazy socks” to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Those who do will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
Anyone who would like to donate, volunteer to help with activities, or for additional information, can contact Mary Vellucci, founder of the AU Special Needs Foundation, at mary@ausnf.org.
The Awesome and Unique Special Needs Foundation was established in Oakland County in 2021 as a non-profit 501(c)(3). The foundation hosts activities for children with special needs and their families in Oxford and Lake Orion, providing opportunities for fun, social interaction throughout the year.
