OCSD deputy goes to hospital after accident

An Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputy received minor injuries as the result of a two-car accident on Baldwin Road on May 6.
OCSD Lt. Bruce Naile, commander of the Orion substation, said a deputy, 40, was turning left from northbound Baldwin into the Indianwood Junction party store about 7:22 a.m., when he was struck by a vehicle heading south on Baldwin.
Naile said both the deputy and the other driver, a 40-year-old Ortonville man, received minor injuries in the accident. The deputy was taken to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital and the other driver was taken away by private vehicle.
Naile said both vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene.
