LO Baptist Lions drop two games to separate Eagles? teams

Lake Orion Baptist School Boys Lions opened 2009 with their first loss of the season, 60-47, when they traveled to do battle with the Springfield Christian Eagles.
The Lions were led by guard Treavor Halleck, with 15 points that included three 3-pointers and three rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Senior Co-Captain James Moreno had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Co-Captain Chris Hojnacki had 9 points, 8 rebounds, 7 steals, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot. Junior Matt Cameron, who had the team’s first double-double of the season in their last game, had 5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals with 2 blocks. Freshman James Noruk had 5 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals with 1 block and 1 assist. Freshman Brad Watterworth had 2 points, 4 rebounds, 4 blocks and 1 assist.
The Lions are 4 -1 for the season.
Nick Bachman led the Eagles with 20 points and Will Keller had 15 points.

The Lions traveled to Rochester Hills Christian for their second game this week and played the other ‘Eagles? in their conference. The Lions found them as eager to continue to best the Lions, taking a 60-46 win and handing the Lions their second loss in as many games.
The Eagles took an early lead, 17-11, at the end of the first quarter and led 30-21 at the half. The Lions pulled to within 3 points at the 4-minute mark of the final quarter but could not climb any closer.
Moreno led the Lions with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals & 3 assists. Hojnacki had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals with 1 block and 1 assist. Halleck had 7 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals & 1 assist. Senior James Watson scored 4 points, and had 8 rebounds and 1 assist. Cameron had 4 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 steals with 1 block.
The Lions are now 4-2 for the season.
Tony Parker carried the Eagles with 17 points and D.J. Szydlowski followed with 14 points.
The Eagles are 4-2 for the season.
