Clarkston High School Vocal Music Department performs in concert at the A Cappella Explosion, 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Clarkston High School Performing Arts Center.
The musical performance features the Sashabaw Middle School Encore and Wolf Singers, Clarkston High School Concert Choir, Madrigals, and Detroit Voice.
The concert is a cappella and will feature top 40 music throughout the decades including songs by Gotye, fun., Rascal Flatts, Kelly Clarkson, Andy Grammer, Van Morrison, Usher and others.
Special Guest is Central Harmony from Central Michigan University. Central Harmony features two Clarkston Vocal Music Department alums Josh Martin (2010) and Rebecca Turner (2012). Their group will be doing workshops with the high school singers during the day on Saturday in addition to performing at the concert.
Also at the event, Detroit Voice performs songs from their debut CD, ‘Sounds Like Home.” A special ticket and CD package for this concert is $10. Adult general admission separately is $5, and $2 for students.
