Dragons to play in Big Day Prep Showdown

The Detroit Metro Sports Commission (DMSC) has announced a new high school football event, the Big Day Prep Showdown, which will be held at Eastern Michigan University’s Rynearson Stadium on Aug. 27.
The one-day showcase of high school football in Southeast Michigan will feature the varsity football team from Lake Orion in a game against Troy, to be held at 5 p.m.
Also playing for the inaugural Showdown will be: Northville Vs. Saline, Noon; Allen Park Vs. Trenton, 2:30 p.m.; and Novi Vs. Chelsea at 7:30 p.m.
‘The DMSC is excited to host this exciting high school sporting event,? said DMSC Executive Director Dave Beachnau.
‘We expect that the Big Day Prep Showdown will attract 20,000 fans for a full-day of the thrill and emotion of high school football, as eight teams begin their quest for the state championship.?
Tickets to the Big Day Prep Showdown are available at participating schools.
Advance ticket prices are $9 for adults, $7 for students, and children age six and under are free.
All game-day tickets are $10 at the gate.
