As president of the Lake Orion Village Council, Bill Siver was reappointed to the village’s planning commission and the Downtown Development Authority board.
Council member Charlotte Patton has agreed to again be council representative on Lake Orion’s Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee.
Councilman Tom Albert will be returning as council representative on the Orion Community Cable Communications Commission, but has declined to serve another term on the NOTA Board. No other council member has yet volunteered to serve on that board.
Ken Van Portfliet on March 22 asked to serve as a council representative on the planning commission, but his nomination failed by a 3-3 vote of his fellow council members.
The council will make another attempt to appoint someone when it’s at full strength. Councilman Douglas Dendel, whose term expired on March 15, will stay on the PC until someone is appointed.
Lisa Simpkins was reappointed to the village’s parks and recreation committee. Her new term ends March 31, 2006.
