Great food, good music, a fabulous setting and the opportunity to support the programs of the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan-Orion/Oxford Club will be available to guests at the seventh annual Taste of the Town.
It takes place Feb. 26 at Canterbury Castle at Canterbury Village.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. During the evening, guests can sample specialty items from restaurants including Metamora Golf & Country Club, Costco, Buffalo Wild Wings, Canterbury Castle, Hamlin Pub North, Kalloways, Max & Erma’s, Poppyseed Deli & Coffee, Strarbucks,, Olive Garden,, Boulder Pointe Golf and Conference Center, Montana’s and others.
While guests listen to the music of the B-Side Band they may also bid at a live and silent auction. A cash bar is also available.
The live auction includes a number of items such as Pistons tickets with VIP parking, jewelry, original artwork, Steve Yzerman signed hockey puck. An original numbered print signed by Steve Yzerman and the artist will be sold to the highest bidder.
The Orion/Oxford Club is located at 55 Elizabeth Street in Lake Orion. It offers a variety of programs and activities for youth ages 6-15 after school throughout the school year and Monday-Friday during the summer.
Membership costs are low to accommodate youth who otherwise would not be able to participate.
Its programs are primarily supported by donations, grants and fundraisers.
All proceeds of the Taste of the Town support the programs of the club.
