The Lake Orion Junior Girl Scout Troop 3319 made 102 felt Army jump boot stockings for the troops of Dragon Company of the Third Armored Regiment stationed in Iraq. The stockings have candy canes inside and a Christmas card attached. The girls also collected toiletries and candy. Photo submitted.
Former Lake Orion Police Chief Jim Leach is still shooting. He got an eight-point, 180 pound buck in Lewiston. It was his first deer in 22 years. Charlie Harkins, Cecil Ryckman and Art Frantz were all witnesses.
