Night at the Races

On March 26, more than 100 people attended the second annual night at the races event at the Old Township Hall. More than $900 was raised to help improve the playground at Crossman Park in Ortonville. Special thanks to Donna Janiczek and Dara Beaudet who ran the event.

Power outage in Oxford

Approximately 150 DTE Energy customers lost power in Oxford on the night of March 24. Lorie Kessler, a spokesperson for DTE, said a blown fuse near a transformer on Jersey St. in the village caused the outage, which occurred at 7:30 p.m. Power was restored to all customers shortly after midnight, Kessler reported.
