Lakeview Chloride SAD moves to next step

A special assessment district for chloriding roads in the Lakeview Subdivision will move forward after the Orion Township Board of Trustees voted to confirm the SAD roll on March 15. The SAD will be to chloride Kinmount, Cornith and Hopefield. A public hearing was held prior to the board’s vote.

OCSD asks for millage renewal, increase

The Orion Township Board has approved a request from Oakland County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Bruce Naile, Orion Substation Commander, to place a proposal for a police millage renewal and increase on the August primary election ballot. The increase would be for an additional .697 mills, bringing the total to two mills.

Siver’s the president again

By an unanimous council vote on March 22, current Lake Orion Village Council President Bill Siver was picked to continue as president for another year. Council members voted for Harry Stephen as president pro tem.
