More than 500 motorcycle enthusiasts showed up in the Clarkston area Sunday to help raise money for the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.
Chuck Fortinberry, president of Clarkston Chrysler Jeep and a member of the CLF board of directors, told the cheering crowd the turnout was an all-time high.
The event’titled the David and Wanda Harrison Memorial Charity Ride’is in its eighth season.
In addition to the scenic 50-mile ride capped off with a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert at DTE, many riders also purchased raffle tickets hoping to win a motorcycle custom built by ‘Dozer? of Dozer Cycle in Clawson, who had some help from a young leukemia survivor and his siblings.
George Aho of Plymouth won the bike.
