On Sept. 19, Michigan State Troopers from the Groveland Post responded to the bar and grille establishment at 14007 Dixie Hwy, Holly.
According to MSP reports, the manager of the establishment called troopers early Sunday morning after a 34-year-old female from Troy, dressed in Renaissance Festival garb, arrived with some adults and her 3-year-old son at about 10 p.m. Saturday. When the establishment was closing at 2 a.m., the manager reported the mother was acting strange and did not want to leave. She also was teaching the youth how to play darts and claimed she only had two beers. The mother told troopers her son does not have normal sleeping patterns and there was nothing wrong with what she was doing.
In the report the manager claimed the boy may have defecated in his pants and was in need of attention. The trooper issued a breathalyzer to the woman where she registered two times the legal limit for intoxication. The husband was contacted and arrived from Troy to pick up both son and mother.
The MSP contacted protective services regarding the case.
