As cars and deer continue to meet in unfortunate circumstances, Clarkston Auto Body and Towing hopes to help.
The shop offers a Deer Hit Drawing for a free weekend getaway. Anyone who brings their deer-damaged vehicle in for repair qualifies for the drawing.
“We fix a lot of deer hits, and wanted to give something back to customers,” said owner Dale Verhey.
The shop has seen about 40 hits so far, ranging from $200-$10,000 in damage.
“Minor fender benders to major accidents,” Verhey said. “Cars hit deer and sometimes deer hit cars.”
Vehicles hit Oct. 1-Dec. 15 are eligible. Bring vehicles in for qualifying repairs to Clarkston Auto Body and Towing, 6470 Sashabaw Road, or 3458 Sashabaw Road or 5475 Dixie Highway in Waterford.
The drawing will be at 7 p.m., Dec. 18, at Over Tyme Bar and Grille, Waterford. Winner can choose a weekend for four at Zehnder’s Splash Village, with four waterpark passes, pizza dinner, chicken dinner, and breakfast buffet, or a $500 gift certificate to Garland Resort, with golf, fishing, swimming, and other outdoor activities.
