The Seawolves have worked hard the last 10 years and their reward – being boosted up to Divison 1.
The girls opened their season against Grand Blanc and lost, 108-71.
During the meet, senior Christine Seiple and junior Julia Vela qualified for states after placing first in their events.
Seiple qualified in three events; 50 free yard freestyle (25.78) and 100 yard freestyle (56.78). Vela qualified in 100 yard butterfly (1:02.22). Both, along with Amber Fullmer and Molli Simpson qualified in the 200 yard medley relay (1:57.59). Rachel Seng took first place in one meter diving. She scored 128.6 from six dives.
More events in which Clarkston took first were 200 yard IM, Vela finished with a time of 2:21.43, 100 yard backstroke, Fullmer (1:06.32), and one meter diving.
They compete at North Farmington on Thursday.
